About the event

Member access to the farm has always been open, but it has been difficult to organize ad hoc. Introducing Oyster Farm Experiences where we look ahead on the tidal calendar and commit to favorable dates and times for farm work and plan for a few members to join us. Members will experience a new perspective, learn about our farm, and the regulations governing its use, our oyster gear, types of farm work, and including how we harvest.

Important items that guests should note prior to registration:

  1. Safety is our top priority. Therefore, we will be deciding the nature of the work guests do. Please be attentive to instructions and follow directoins. This event is not suitalbe for young children (16+ allowed).
  2. This is a weather dependent event and guests should know that we might call you an hour before start time to cancel. Your comfort and enjoyment is our second priority and we reserve the right and responsibility to make cancellation judgment calls.
  3. Each session will limit out with 1-3 guests depending on the vessel we plan to take out that day. If you would like to meet us at the work session by boat indicate this in your RSVP. We may be able to accomodate more guests this way.
  4. We are thrifty with our equipment, and our equipment is moody and might not cooperate on certain days. Therefore, we will adjust the nature of the work as needed or we might need to cancel if we can't be productive.
  5. The location of the work that day may change and therefore may change where we launch. We ask for your phone number on the RSVP form so that we can communicate the latest schedule and logistics.
  6. Oyster work is muddy so do not dress to impress. And dress on the warm side. Much better to be a little warm than cold.
  7. This experience is free to members.
This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
