CVC Appreciation Event
We are happy you could join us for this appreciation event. Thank you to all board members, staff, donors and volunteers that contribute towards the important work of the CVC. Please, enjoy the oysters and fellowship.
The Oysters
We are featuring our very own Lynnhaven oysters and a comparable counterpart from the Eastern Shore - Laughing Kings from Plantation Creek.
Laughing King Oysters*
Direct from the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Laughing Kings are grown in Plantation Creek, just south of Cape Charles Virginia and are similar in salinity to Lynnhaven oysters due to their proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic.

The Raw Bar
We have lots of raw bar toppings for your enjoyment. Let us know if you have any questions!
Classic French Mignonette
A mix of white and rice vinegar, shallots, fresh ground pepper and a pinch of sugar and salt.
$10.00

Chimichurri Mignonette
This mignonette made its LOC debut a couple of weeks ago. It is a classic twist on the classic french mignonette while staying true to its herbaceous roots originating from Argentina and Uruguay. It combines finely chopped parsley, minced garlic, green onion and oregano, in a red wine vinegar base. Finely chopped red chili adds just enough heat. Tell us what you think!

Cucumber & Lime Granita
Making its second event debut, this lime-based granita is coupled with cucumber and is accented with jalapeno. We also have thinly sliced de-seeded jalapeno for a really nice texture play. This semi-sweet frozen treat has just enough heat. We have accented this with mint also, but today we have added a secret ingredient. Can you guess what it is? Tell us what you think! Is it a keeper?
$10.00

Bottled Sauces
A range of popular and obscure bottled hot sauces can be used by themselves or in combination with other toppings.

Prepared
We will be roasting about half of the oysters we brought to today's picnic. We are offering plain roasted and a new dish called GB3, which stands for Garlic-Butter, Bacon and Blue Cheese. Raw bar toppings on a cooked oyster is worth trying. Also, a little hot sauce on a cooked oyster is worth trying. Enjoy!
Oysters Blue
A member favorite, this is savory and rich oyster bake. Garlic, butter and blue cheese: prepare yourself.

Simply Steamed!
Poached in the shell, plain perfection awaits. Sip the warm salty liquor, then try lemon and other toppings to taste.

*Health Advisory - Raw/Undercooked Oysters
